The Statuario Calocara variety is part of the large family of products that are collectively defined as Statuario. Origin and Extraction

Extracted in the province of Massa-Carrara, in the portion at the base of Mount Bettogli opposite the sea.
Since the 70s the quarry has been cultivated with diamond wire in the open without the use of explosives, working with the classic method of overturning the bank, the Statuario Calocara quarry has implemented the certification of sustainability and environmental impact: this recognition crowns a work begun for over ten years thanks to which all the extraction technologies have been reviewed and improved one by one, implementing every possible solution aimed at improving production efficiency, safety and reducing the environmental impact.

































Grain, background and veins

  • Very fine grain, not visible to the naked eye.
  • Background Pure or almost pure cold white, with nuances sometimes on very light blue tones that sometimes veer on delicate green tones.
  • Retiform gray veins, representative of elegance and character, with many shapes, sometimes decisive and marked, sometimes softer almost forming a written texture.
