“Calacatta Paonazzo” marble is a type of white marble extracted in the Lunigiana area, in the municipality of Carrara in Tuscany, Italy, in the Calacatta extraction area. Lunigiana is an area that hosts some of the oldest marble quarries in the world, with a multi-millennial history of extraction, dating back to around 2,500 years ago.
Since the 70s cultivated with diamond wire in the open without the use of explosives, the quarry is cultivated with the classic method of overturning the bank, and all the regulations are scrupulously observed to minimize environmental impact and for optimal waste management.
